Kancho Seminar - Friday 22nd August

Kancho Sullivan is visiting the UK and will be conducting a one-off seminar for all GKR students. Don't miss this opportunity to train with Kancho. This event is pre-paid. See your instructor in class and book your place.

Judging & Refereeing Seminar
There will be another J&R Seminar in the weeks leading up to the National Qualifiers in September.

The seminar is usually split into three sections
11:00-13:00 - For students attending their first J&R - this will be a theory session & run through of the J&R Manual
13:00-16:00 - Practical workshop for all new students to be joined by those attending for refresher or level upgrade
16:00-17:00 - Written test for first-time attendees and certificate presentations

As always, the seminar will cost £15 per person for level one judges, which includes a free Official's Tie - each subsequent attendance is free, as are Level Upgrades

 
Crawley Inter-dojo Tournament - August 30th, Horsham
Crawley & Brighton area are hosting an inter-dojo tournament as part of the Summer Programme - entry forms need to be in by 24th August and will be available in class.

World Cup Fundraising Events
August 17th - Taikenko-su, Kosen and Yukikaeri cycle rides
Starting in Haywards Heath and ending up in Three Bridges, the Taikenko-su (Great Circle Route) is a gruelling 100-mile challenge only for the serious (or insane) cyclist. New this year are the Kosen (Lower Arc) and the Yukikaeri (Round Trip) to test the determined but less experienced cyclist. The Kosen runs from Haywards Heath to Bewbush (40 miles) and the Yukikaeri from Bewbush back to Three Bridges (60 miles). More details to come in the WC 2009 Section.
